－化舊書為立體雕塑，飛躍紙上的工藝－
D. Hinklay是日本的摺紙藝術家，從小就對摺紙有興趣，自學了書頁摺疊的技巧，並創辦了OruFun，結合電腦設計及紙藝來創作三維圖案，將舊書折成立體藝術作品。基於對摺紙藝術的喜好與尊重，其作品不採用較簡單的裁剪方式，而是純粹以摺疊完成。前置作業相當耗時，電腦設計後需徒手標記摺疊處，精細至毫米的距離。
他的作品常以流行元素為題材，如卡通、電影角色、直白的標語、具挑釁意味的手勢，及許多在塗鴉文化常見的符號。D. Hinklay選擇以這類題材少見的媒材「摺紙」來詮釋自我的主張。運用傳統技法與二手舊書加上流行符號，重新創作出帶有潮流感的作品。
OruFun的創作多於網路平台曝光販售，除了成品外，也有販售可自行摺疊的教學檔，亦接受圖樣定製，於國內外皆有不少粉絲及報導。此次是他於台灣展出的第三站，歡迎前來一窺OruFun的紙藝書雕。

Turning old books into folding art. The craftsmanship of paper sculpture.
D. Hinklay is a book folding artist from Japan. Since his childhood, he has been passionate about origami and mastered book folding technique by self-learning. In 2013, he founded OruFun, a style of origami combines computer technology with traditional origami to transform old books into three-dimensional artwork.
To pay respect to traditional origami, he never cut any pages in the books. Each book sculpture is built only by folding the pages to shape the contour of the image. His process emphasizes precision and utilizes computer technology to assist him in making marks on paper by hand down to millimeter points.
Known for his street culture aesthetic, D. Hinklay often features popular icons and provocative gestures to state his bold messages. With pop culture symbolism, he takes ancient artistry to a new level of expression.
OruFun has received it's worldwide exposure on the internet and selling his creations through his online platform. Besides the finished work, he also provides tutorials and customization. Memes has the honor to exhibit his third solo show in Taiwan and present his mastery to Taiwanese audience.
